Partscaster Builds

Here are a few of the builds I’ve done recently. But your chosen partscaster may be very different in specs and modification.

A simple project like the Telecaster can take a few days to assemble and be on the lower end in terms of labor costs. More labor intensive and complex projects can take much longer, perhaps several weeks.

If youd like a quote, please provide as many details as possible in regard to electronics configuations and modifications.

Squire Telecaster body with a Fender Sixty-Six neck.

This is as simple as it gets. All the parts fit nicely together without significant modification. Only one pickup with a volume control.

XGP Stratocaster body with a Fender Jimi Hendrix reverse headstock neck, Seymour Duncan Nazgul pickup, arcade style kill switch, and a Wilkenson floating & locking tremelo, the VS100CV.

This project was the most challenging I’ve done. Since the body was manuafactured to accept a traditional 6-point Strat tremelo and not a 2-point floating tremolo, I measured out and drill-pressed the bridge-post positions for the trem bushings, and routed out a bit of the tremelo block cavity so the VS100CV trem block could be pulled up, as well as down. The VS100CV trem “locks" by rotating the trem arm into a locknut located in the aluminum backplate. To get the plate to meet the trem arm I had to route the back of the body to accpet a recessed plate. This was a far more labor intensive project due to the moderate level of customization. Very unique!
