My name's Mike Griffin, and I'm a guitar repair technician based in Vacaville, California. I have a business license (#039149) with the City of Vacaville. Read below if you’d like to know a bit more about my guitar repair background..

I started out learning to do basic maintenance with my own guitars as a teenager. After studying Dan Erlewine’s classic book, The Guitar Player Repair Guide, I gained the confidence to work on my bandmates' instruments and I've been hooked ever since.

Over the years I’ve been trained on guitar and bass setups and electronics repairs. I also worked as a professional guitar tech for a bigbox music store in the Bay Area where I became certified for Fender warranty repairs.

After working on hundreds of instruments I have abandoned many of the myths about what makes a good instrument. In short, I am not a gear snob, and I don’t care if your instrument is an entry-level model made in Indonesia or a Custom Shop model made in the US. I just want to make your instrument feel, play, and sound the best it can. I take a lot of pride in my work and want players to feel rewarded for choosing me as their tech.

I moved from the San Francisco Peninsula to Vacaville, CA, and started my own stringed instrument services business. While I still have some Bay Area clients who willingly travel to Vacaville, I am excited to build a local clientele and offer my expertise to the community. Thank you for considering me for your stringed instrument needs.
